Distilled Water drinking great for Emergencies

December 14, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Often,  the Earth is referred to as as the “Blue Planet,” because of the abundant amount of water that that covers 70% of the planet’s surface. Ninety-seven percent of the earth’s water is the ocean itself, but all that water is not available for human consumption because of its high salt content. That leaves only a small four percent for fresh water, but two-thirds of that is locked in glaciers and polar ice.

When there is a natural disaster or emergency, these resources may be non existent. With recent hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters have taught us a valuable lesson: Water can be all around, but it may not be safe enough to drink. Our cities water treatment facilities are not protected. Both American Red Cross and FEMA recommend the same process used water distillation to remove microorganisms that resist other methods of water treatment. This process leaves behind impurities as well as heavy metals, salts, and most other chemicals. Water distillers are versatile and portable making them vital in an emergency. You will single handedly increase the chances of survival for you and your family in an emergency situation when you have access to clean water.

Pure water is you lifeline and keeping a distiller around for emergencies can literally save your life. When disaster hits, you’ll be SAFE and prepared with a supply of pure drinking water to drink and the ability to make as much as you need. Every household should have a unit, if only for emergencies.

The Benefits of Distilled Water

October 13, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Distilled water is extremely pure. By being pure, it offers a number of health benefits; benefits that bottled water from manufacturers are unable to offer. It is possible to buy water distillers at affordable prices and you may just be worth your while.

The Contaminants and Impurities Are Removed

When water goes through a distillery process, the majority of contaminants and impurities are removed. Most systems take the water through at least two stages but there can be third stages to make sure the water is pure and ready to drink. It is possible to end up with 99.9% water from these systems.

By removing the chemicals and contaminants, the water is better for your body. It offers the organs pure water to refuel the system. The immune system doesn’t have to battle against the chemicals it would usually need to and the brain isn’t affected by some of the harmful chemicals. You could live longer.

Avoid Getting Sick

Distilled water is much better than bottled water. Many manufacturers end up adding chemicals, such as chlorine, to their water; even if they don’t realise they are doing it. It can effectively poison you, making you sick and more likely to lose out on nutrients. With pure water, the kidneys will function properly. There will be fewer kidney stones since the calcium build-up isn’t there.

Have a Whiter Smile

The chemicals in the water often lead to discolouration of the teeth. By drinking pure water, you avoid all this. Of course, you will still need to brush your teeth and watch out for the other stuff that you drink, since water isn’t the only cause for yellow teeth; however, it will help you on your way to a whiter smile.

Make Your Drinks and Food Taste Better

Water is used for many things. It is added to drinks and used in cooking. Chemicals in water can affect the taste of your tea, coffee and anything else you use the water in. You could buy the best tea but it will taste bad due to the type of water you use. By using water that has been distilled, the taste of the tea, coffee and anything else isn’t compromised.

Distilled water is extremely beneficial and not just to the health. It is worth investing in this instead of spending your money on bottled water.

Is It Really Safe to Drink Distilled Water?

October 13, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

You may hear all the time about how much bottled water is for you, especially compared to tap water. The truth is water that has been distilled is much better. Remember that the manufacturers of bottled water want you to spend money on them so they leave out some of these important factors in their advertisements.

What Exactly Is Distilled Water?

Distilled water simply recycles water. It is similar to the water cycle, which takes water from lakes and oceans, which is evaporated and then turned back into a liquid. In short, it works the same way that the rain works. But would you really want to drink rain water? When water goes through the distillery process, the impurities are removed. The chemicals and contaminants are no longer there so it is pure water that you are drinking.

In short, it is the safest water that you can drink. It is the way that nature intended you to drink it.

Improve the Function of Your Kidneys

Bottled water doesn’t offer these health benefits. The manufacturers may want you to believe that it is safe but, in reality, it is full of chemicals. These chemicals lead to calcium build-ups in the body, which causes kidney stones. Pure water doesn’t do this. Your kidneys function as they are supposed to, removing the toxins from your body. The best part is that there are fewer toxins within your body, making you feel and look healthier!

But Doesn’t Distilled Water Lack Minerals?

There are many people, especially those who offer water filters and bottled water manufacturers, who claim that distilled water is actually unhealthy for you. They claim that there is a severe lack of minerals in the water—they are removed just like the impurities are during the process. This isn’t necessarily the case.

Minerals are more likely gained from food than water, so it doesn’t really matter. If it did, it is possible to add the minerals back in at an affordable cost; much more affordable than constantly buying bottled water!

Distilled water is more affordable and very safe to drink. There is no proof that it takes out all the minerals but that doesn’t really matter; you get the minerals from your food. It does remove the chemicals and impurities and you can drink as nature wants you to!

How You Can Use Distilled Water

October 13, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Water is the second most important thing for the human body. It needs it for the organs to work properly, the brain to function and the blood to pump around the system. The skin needs it to shine and the hair needs it to look luxurious. When you think about water, you may just think about drinking it. However, there are many ways to add distilled water into your day.

The Obvious Way: Drinking the Water

Of course, drinking it is the most obvious and often the most beneficial. Drinking distilled water will offer many health benefits. In fact, drinking any type of water offers benefits to the body. It is easier to digest and will get to each of the organs needed. Often, you feel hungry because your body actually needs the water. Try drinking a glass of distilled water before snacking to see if that is the problem.

Adding Water to Your Food

Another way of using distilled water is through your cooking. You could make a soup or stew with water, you could pour it on your cereal or add to porridge instead of milk or you could use it for the preparation to make a stock or gravy.

Whenever you need to use water in cooking, reach for the distilled option because it makes your food taste better. There aren’t the chemicals, so flavour of the food is enhanced instead.

Preparing Your Food with Water

Water is often used for preparation. You may add it to a mix or use it to cook your pasta in. You can also use it for making up baby food. Distilled water is excellent for this. Similar to cooking with it, you will find that the flavour is enhanced, while offering more health benefits by using it.

The next time you decide to bake, use distilled water. You may find that missing “ingredient”.

Making Drinks with Distilled Water

While drinking pure water is great, sometimes you want a little extra flavour. You may make juice or decide on a hot drink. Distilled water will bring out the flavour and is perfect for whatever you choose to use.

There are many ways to use your distilled water to gain all the benefits. Drinking it pure is the most obvious way but add it to your cooking and baking and you will soon taste the difference.

Why Do People Believe Distilled Water Is Bad for You

October 11, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

There are many people advocating against distilled water. Despite the water being pure and better than tap or bottled water, there are some who say that it is bad for the health. This is because the process also removes some of the minerals that water has. It can remove the calcium that builds strong bones, among with other necessary options.

Getting Nutrients into Your Body

It’s really important to have a healthy and balanced diet and water is just part of that. There are many minerals that your body benefits from, including magnesium, calcium and iron. However, the majority of these come from food. In fact, most people will focus on their diet and the food they eat to make sure they get all the nutrients they need.

Think about it: when have you ever thought about the nutrients you get from water? You drink it because it is good for the body in general. People drink it because they are thirsty or they want something other than the sugar-loaded sodas. You don’t necessarily drink it for the minerals.

Tap and Bottled Water Aren’t Healthy Options

When you want the best for your body, you need to focus on everything that is in or not in water. You can’t just focus on the fact that tap and bottled water still have the minerals. They may do but they are outweighed by the amount of chemicals and impurities that are in them. This is especially the case when it comes to bottled water.

Tap and bottled water do have some regulations but they’re not strict enough to remove all the impurities. Bottled water can still have poison in it, let alone animal faeces! Distilled water removes all of these impurities. The body actually gets water and has a lower risk of kidney stones and other health problems.

On top of that, distilled water tastes better. It enhances the flavour of anything that is added to it.

The next time you hear about distilled water being bad for you because of the lack of minerals, remember one point. It is important to have a healthy and balanced diet. Without that, you won’t get any of the nutrients your body needs. Most minerals comes from food, so it doesn’t matter if the distilling process removes them!
