Distilled Water for Pets

September 21, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Anyone who owns a pet will want what is best for it. The health of your pet is almost as important as the health of your kids because it is like another member of the family. Distilled water for pets is usually something many people think of a pet’s nutritional needs as similar to a human being’s nutritional needs. When a pet owner prepares a meal for themselves, how often do they feed their pet some food from the dinner table? It is very common and now the same thing is starting to happen with distilled water.

Pet owners are buying lots of gallon jugs of distilled water from the supermarket (which is actually very expensive, it is way cheaper to make distilled water at home from a counter top water distillers) and then using them to fill their pet’s drink bowl up with water. Even though distilled water will have a very good effect on the health of a human, the health of a pet is a different matter. That is why they should never be given too much human food because their bodies aren’t design to handle it. The same cannot be said of distilled water and Mineralized Distilled Water. Distilled water a couple of times a weeks can be very beneficial to pets and Mineralized distilled water is the safest water you can give a pet on a daily basis.

The most common household pet is a dog. We commonly fill their dog dish up with water from the sink and don’t think anything else about it. But these days, we hear so much debate and controversy over which water is healthy to drink and which is not healthy. It makes us think the same concepts apply to pets as well. It is true that tap water from the sink is indeed not the best quality, as it contains many impurities and chemical contaminants so it is a good thing that pet owners have doubts about giving that faucet water to their pets.

So, now the pet owners that drink distilled water will also give it to their dogs while thinking they will be healthy too. The truth is dogs that consume distilled water over long periods of time may not be completely healthy because unlike humans, pets may be deficient of important minerals in their body that may not be completely available in their food. Pure distilled water will be beneficial to pets only if given two or three times a week. It will help them with digestion and may even help urinate better.

Reports have shown dogs that drink nothing but distilled water might get potassium deficiencies and eventually develop heart problems. You have to remember that distillation removes the minerals from the water, which are vital for the health of your dog. While we humans get ALL the minerals we need from foods, dogs and some other pets do get some amount from their water. These minerals keep a dogs muscles strong, since they walk around on four legs and have to use their muscles very often. You should also remember that a dog’s immune system is a lot stronger than a human immune system.

If your dog is drinking lots of tap water, however, you should worry about the impurities and chemical contaminants that might get into their system. For this reason, the best course of action for a pet is to drink distilled water with minerals added to it. Their immune system is strong by nature because they are supposed to be drinking natural spring water directly from the earth. Their bodies will absorb the essential minerals and bypass the contaminants which are bad. So, just give your dog Mineralized Distilled water by given them the same distilled water you drink but by adding minerals to it.

Distilled water has Good taste

September 11, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

If there is one thing that a single person in the world needs to survive it would be water. It is the one thing that we are all incredibly reliant on, yet is not something we give much thought to when it comes to drinking it. At least, that used to be the case, as it’s now seemingly impossible to go to your local supermarket without seeing some form of bottled water available for purchase. It wasn’t so very long ago that the idea of water in a bottle would have seemed ridiculous, especially when the vast majority of us need simply turn on the faucet to get decent drinking water. That all changed, though, when stories started to come out about all of the impurities that we may be downing by drinking tap water, with a sudden need for cleaner, distilled water coming to pass.

The water that we drink, cook with and bathe in contains a number of different contaminates and minerals, albeit at a microscopic level that you would never be able to see with the naked eye. If you have a genuine concern about what’s in there, you can always take care of it by boiling any and all water you intend to ingest into the body. Boiling the water creates steam which, when allowed to cool, return to a liquid state that becomes distilled water. All of the potentially bad stuff is removed and you are left with nothing in it but hydrogen and oxygen molecules.

The process of distilling water is actually pretty straightforward with the weight of the items in the original water all playing a part. All of those elements and particles we mentioned earlier are actually a good bit heavier than the water molecules, which mean they get left behind when the good stuff gets converted to steam. The condensation that becomes your distilled water contains none of what was there at the start, but it also means that you are left with water that tastes a little bland when compared to what comes out of your tap. This excuse is unfounded because the fresh taste of distilled water is so good that after one day of consumption most people cannot go back to drinking regular bottle or tap water.

It is for that reason that many people simply bypass distilled water, saving it for those that really need their water to be clear and untainted. That usually means research or industrial uses, where distilled water is actually a crucial part of whatever process they use. If these same places used regular water, they would tend to find build-ups, usually of calcium and Iron, that can end up having a negative effect on what they are trying to achieve.

Drinking Distilled Water for Good Health

September 11, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Water that has undergone the process of distillation so as to make it free of any dissolved contaminants is called distilled water. The process of distillation is quite simple wherein water is boiled and converted into steam. Then this steam is condensed into pure water by making it pass through cooling tubes. Distilled water is significantly different from filtered water in the sense that it is free of all potentially harmful chemicals and organisms. Owing to these reasons, distilled water is undeniably beneficial for health.

The biggest health benefit that accompanies distilled water is the removal of all water borne contaminants that are potentially present in tap water. Drinking contaminated water can result in the contraction of several diseases due to the intake of industrial pollutants and toxic metals. When the contaminants are removed from the water through distillation, it can reduce the risk of toxic buildup and illnesses.

When it comes to consuming municipal water, it contains significant quantities of chlorine or fluoride, on account of water treatment. Although, these chemicals are added on the pretext of treating contaminated water and making it suitable for household consumption, these fluorides and chlorides themselves act as huge risk factors. Excess of fluoride can result in the breakdown of your tooth enamel, along with tooth discoloration. On the other hand, excessive chlorine in drinking water can be harmful for the skin. Distilled water multi-stage process filters out these harmful chemicals so that you can have pure drinking water.

Municipal water also contains traces of calcium. It is true that calcium is essential for maintaining good health; its excess can lead to the formation of kidney stones. Those who drink distilled water stay away from the risk of contracting this painful condition. When you drink distilled water, it does not leave behind any residue or inorganic minerals which the body cannot assimilate. In addition to this, if you wish to have full control over your mineral and vitamin intake, then distilled water is the best substitute for you.

Being the greatest solvent, distilled water gets directly absorbed into the blood stream. It keeps all the salts in the solution form so as to prevent them from getting deposited in various structures and organs, followed by their favorable elimination through excreta. This is why it is also known as empty/hungry water as it can absorb body poisons effectively.

Although, one can buy distilled water from outside, it can be an expensive affair. Also, since this water comes in a plastic container, its purity may get affected. Hence, it is best to purify water at home, with the help of a home water distiller.

Important Facts to Learn about Distilled Water

September 11, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

For many years, people have been thinking about using distilled water and regular plain water for drinking purposes. Basically, plain tap water for drinking is not always beneficial to many people, and most of them have issues with this kind of water, especially for drinking purposes. Some say that they are having health problems by drinking plain tap water. This fact has led manufacturers to do something to create water that is similar with pure water.

Distilled water is basically the same as pure water chemically. This is different from the water coming out of your tap, and it is not the same mineral water that you buy. The process of distillation removes a lot of impurities in the water such as microorganisms and various organic contaminants present on normal water. So if you compare this to normal water, this is safer and healthier to drink.

In the past, you can only get distilled water by purchasing them from manufacturers. However, they made it possible for homeowners to have their instant distilled water through the different equipments that they can install in their house, such as water distillers. Basically, they have the choice to buy water from manufacturers or process their own distilled water for drinking at home.

The distillation process is quite complicated, especially if you ask how manufacturers clean normal water. Well, some of the simple equipments in the house can be used to create distilled water, but companies and manufacturers have their own way of doing it. They make use of state of the art technology to make sure that the normal water will be converted into pure drinking water without any harmful contaminants present. The common process is the water is heated to steam and it is moved to a cooling chamber to let the steam condense and turns into distilled water. In some companies, the distillation process is done repeatedly to ensure that the water will be totally free from contaminants and other harmful elements.

Distillation alone cannot remove 100% of all the impurities in the water. Since the process only relies on boiling point, any substance with a boiling point of over 100 degree Celsius will be left in the water even after the distillation process. However, manufacturers do not rely solely on the distillation process when they are creating distilled water. They also have other methods that they use to make sure that the other contaminants left on the water will be removed effectively. Water distillers available for home or commercial use, for example, also have charcoal filters which remove all the possible remaining substance.

You might see some articles saying that the distilled water can cause problems to the health of the consumers. It depends on the type of water that you are drinking. If you are drinking distilled water from a company that does not pay attention to the process of distilling, it can still cause problems because of the remaining contaminants in the water. If you have a water distiller at home, simple cleaning ensures you’re consuming pure clean water.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF DISTILLED WATER

September 10, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Water is of course a very important part of our lives and the way we live our lives – without significant water intake, we can struggle to remain in the right frame of mind, and it can be quite damaging to our health long-term. While there are many sources of water out there, from tap to bottled, distilled water offers a purer equivalent to water and takes out everything in the water to make it completely pure.

There are many benefits to drinking distilled water, not only does it remove the poisons from your system and help you flush out your body, it also helps you concentrate more and be more active as your body feels more hydrated and therefore it has more energy.

However – why distilled water? There are many benefits to drinking distilled water, many of which people have no idea about. If you are interested in finding out about the benefits of distilled water, then read on;

Completely Pure

Distilled water has had everything taken out of it. It removes all the nutrients in the water (water doesn’t have too many nutrients, but it does have some), but it also removes any toxins within the water. Purified water, even without the nutrients, is much better than you than the water some of us are forced to drink.

The water is purified by boiling it and then converting it into steam. When converted back into water, it creates a similar effect to condensation, and this leaves all of the negatives out of the finished product. Although the nutrients are being missed out on, the majority of our nutrients come from our food anyway (over 95%) so it’s not such a bad thing. Plus, nutrients can be added back to the distilled water very easily.

H20

Distilled water is completely, 100% H20. There is nothing else in there at all. In fact, it is completely ion free and all organic contaminants have been completely removed through a sanitized process which ensures are distilled water is completely harmless.

Better Taste

Many countries complain of the chlorine taste in their water, or the fluoride, and this of course is not good for us. The machines which make up the water distiller itself removes all bacteria, parasites, harmful metals, chemicals and herbicides from the water itself, making sure it tastes the way it was supposed to! This makes sure you only get the refreshing side of water, not the horrible after-taste.

Helps Contain Disease

Water which has been distilled and held in a location for long enough,  can help fight off any water based diseases or contaminants, helping keeping immune levels at their peak and stopping any outbreaks of nasty viruses.

As you can see – distilled water offers some very important benefits to the actual process, in not only keeping you healthier and making sure you are drinking the right liquids, but also to ensure that you live a life which is long and healthy.
