The Future of Distilled Water

The pollution of the world seems to be a never ending problem. We have air pollution, land pollution and, of course, water pollution. These things are affecting people’s health in a negative way and it doesn’t look like it is going to change any time soon. The only thing a person can really change is the type of water they drink. Fortunately, you can now find distilled water jugs and bottles being sold in local supermarkets in western society and in fact, you can make it yourself at home using a water distiller at a much cheaper rate than buying it at the local store. Of course, they are not always easy to find because of the plethora of regular purified water that has minerals in it. Only those educated in distilled water will know to look for it. Otherwise, you will end up picking any random brand of water off the shelf and stuffing it in your shopping cart.

People are going to have to find a better source of purified water in the future. Now you may be wondering, “What is wrong with the regular purified water that has minerals in it?” It is true that this water does not have impurities, but it still has minerals in it. These minerals are not always healthy for people if they have preexisting health problems, such as high blood pressure and heart problems. Since we live in an age where people eat unhealthy and are on lots of prescription medication, mineral water could actually be detrimental to these people’s health. The only solution is for people to start drinking more distilled water. They will already be getting their minerals from the foods they eat. Even though people don’t eat lots of fruits and vegetables directly, they are still getting them indirectly because they are used as ingredients in lots of other foods. For example, pasta sauce and salsa uses a plethora of vegetables for its ingredients. Sure you are getting spices and salts that are harmful to you, but you are also getting minerals from the vegetable ingredients as well. So, people aren’t ever going to have to worry about mineral deficiency in their diets any time soon.

The only thing stopping distilled water from becoming mainstream are the politics behind it. People keep spreading rumors about it being dangerous to our health so filter companies can keep on selling their filters, so the public immediately gets scared and backs away without doing any research into it themselves. If they did their own research they would find that distilled water is actually better for our health than the rumors suggest. But, the public gets scared easily and this fear is what usually prevents our society for excelling towards a brighter future. Eventually, people will see that distilled water is in that future.

Benefits of Drinking Distilled Water

Distillation is the cleanest type of water purification there is. For awhile, there have been rumors that distilled water drained your body of minerals to make up for the water’s own lack of minerals. However, this myth is not factual and people need to understand that there are only benefits from drinking distilled water. There is no magic force that will drain your body. In fact, there is really nothing in the water at all, which means it is virtually impossible for it to hurt you in any way.

The best part about distillation is that it removes all of the toxins, waste, and other impurities from the water. It also removes the minerals, but you can get these from eating foods and vegetables. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about having a lack of minerals in your water. Besides, mineral water is a type of “hard water” that can damage your cardiovascular system if it is consumed too much. Distilled water is softer and lighter, which means it doesn’t cause any negative health effects or weigh you down. This results in having an increase in cellular energy and better lung function for proper breathing. Also, distilled water will help you digest your food faster than mineral water because it is lighter and will pass through you faster. You will notice an increase in weight loss and even a lower amount of stress than you are used to. People often don’t think about how their nutrition affects their mood, but they really do coincide with each other. If you drink distilled water then you will feel better than you ever have with any other water.

Distilled water has been used by people for cosmetic purposes as well. The idea is that when you take a regular hot shower, the hot temperature opens up the pores of your skin and lets in all of the impurities from the regular tap water. If you use an automatic distillation machine, then it will make all the running water in your house turn into distilled water. That way you can take showers using distilled water, which will allow only clean water to hit your skin. The results will be less acne, rashes, and skin irritations. Distillation machines only cost a few hundred dollars, while some of the bigger ones cost a few thousand dollars. It really depends on the size of your home, but the money is well worth it if you think of it as an investment into your health. If you have old pipes (over 30 yrs old) distillation for your entire house is not recommended because old pipes are made out of Iron, and distilled water can cause serious damage to iron.

Distillation: Myths Exposed

When we shop for water at the supermarket we generally look for purified water that comes in a bottle. What exactly is purified water? To a layman person, it means that the water has been filtered and cleaned of all impurities. However, purified water still contains its vitamins and minerals that the body needs to survive. On the other hand, the distillation process completely wipes out everything from the water, including the minerals. This means the water does not contain anything in it at all. So, does this mean drinking distilled water is bad for you? A popular myth about distilled water is that it extracts the vitamins and minerals from your own body when you consume it. This is totally ridiculous and untrue. Distilled water cannot extract minerals from your body’s cells; however, it won’t give the cells minerals either. But, this does not mean the water is bad for you because it can still help your digestive system process foods. Besides, drinking water with too many minerals in it has been known to cause cardiovascular health problems in people. Many of the purified waters sold in stores have “flavoring enhancing” minerals added to the water that already had minerals in it to begin with. This means the water is oversaturated with minerals, which will likely cause you health problems. Distilled water is a soft type of water that will not negatively affect your health in any way.

You might be thinking, “Where do I get the minerals and vitamins for my body if not from the water I drink?” The simple answer to this is from natural foods, like fruits and vegetables. You should be eating these anyway if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you eat fruits and vegetables on a regular basis then you won’t need to get your vitamins and minerals from water. The only time you will need mineral water is if you are eating junk foods, like donuts and potato chips, on a regular basis. One of the main reasons why obese people have such severe health problems has to do with them not drinking any water or eating any natural foods. With that kind of lifestyle, the body is getting zero vitamins and minerals. Now you could compensate for the junk food by drinking the mineral water, but you have to take into account the negative health effects of the fats and sugars in those foods as well. Therefore, the best choice you can make is to drink distilled water and eat fruits and vegetables. This is the right combination that will help you live a long and healthy life.

Consumers have never been more health conscious than they are right now. In the old days, people didn’t really think about nutrition when it came to the foods they ate and the water they drank. The reason is because food and water used to be natural and clean on their own. We didn’t have all the pollution, contamination, pesticides and so forth that we do in the present. Consumers are starting to catch on that clean water is essential to have in every aspect of their lives, such as for drinking, preparing foods and even bathing. There have been a lot of mixed ideas about what kind of water is the cleanest and healthiest for people to consume. Often times, you will hear that filtered or purified water is the best choice and that distilled water is not as healthy because it destroys all the natural minerals in the water. What people don’t realize is that distillation is just one method for purifying water. There are lots of different purification methods out there, like reverse osmosis and deionization. However, distilled water is the best way to guarantee that all the bacteria and impurities of your water have been killed. The other two methods of purification do not offer you this same guarantee.

There are all kinds of gadgets on the market now that allow people to turn their ordinary tap water into distilled water. This means that people don’t have to do the traditional method of boiling the water in a pot and then condensing the steam into a container. However, most of the gadgets sold in stores are only filters that remove a small percentage of the impurities, but not all of them. If you don’t mind boiling your drinking water, then the traditional method of distillation should not be a problem. But, what do you do about bathing and showering? You could buy bottles of distilled water at the store, but it would take a lot of one gallon jugs to fill up a bathtub. This is why more people now are seeing the value of investing in an automatic water distiller machine for their homes. This is a machine that can pump out vast amounts of distiller water very quickly. It connects to the pipes of every faucet, bathtub and shower in your home, which means you can bathe in distilled water just by turning your water on like normal. The cost of the machine ranges from the hundreds to the thousands, depending on the size of the machine you get. Consumers realize that this is an investment in their health because it keeps impurities out of their skin and body.

Many of the Benefits of Drinking Distilled Water

Drinking water is a necessity in not only maintaining normal body functionality but also to maintain good health. The body is 70% water and hence requires a lot of hydration to maintain this level of water considering water loss processes such as going to the bathroom as well as perspiration. It is recommended that a healthy individual should maintain water intake at about nine to twelve glasses per day. The question, therefore, is not how much water you should drink but rather which type of water. Available variations include tap water, distilled water and bottled water.

Tap water contains a variety of natural salts as well as chlorine used in killing germs; tap water also is not purified against many chemicals. The consumption of tap water may at times lead to consumption of some unhealthy inorganic substances which cannot be broken down by the body and hence end up being deposited around the body including joints. Bottled water, being an unregulated industry makes it difficult to ascertain exactly what is contained in the water. What is Distilled Water?

Distilled water is produced by boiling water and subsequently distilling the steam back to a liquid state. Due to the lack of salts in the water it generally has a bland taste at first, but as people drink more and more, the pure water taste is more appreciated.

To produce distilled water, an electronic machine referred to as water distiller is used. Once the machine is plugged in, it only takes a few moments to produce the water ready for drinking. A charcoal filter is used to filter out any impurities before and after the purification process.

 

Some Benefits of Drinking Distilled Water

Since distilled water contains no salts, whether natural or otherwise, it is suited to detox unwanted salts from the body. Inorganic salts are normally absorbed into the body but cannot be broken down; they are, therefore, deposited all over the body. Distilled water has the ability of detoxing out these inorganic salts and minerals from the body.

Distilled water is recommended by some health practitioners for its detoxifying properties. A distilled water diet for a few weeks can be used to clear the body of most toxins and hence leave the dieter feeling better and healthier. A distilled water diet can also be prescribed for dieters who want to lose weight for healthy living.

Distilled water comes with some essential health benefits that have made it popular over the years.
