Distilled Water is Safe to drink and the Distilled Water Health benefits are many, it is the purest water and mimics the exact same way that nature produces fresh potable water (i.e. the water cycle). The water cycle is naturally simple: Water that’s impure, such as from the ocean or lakes, is evaporated (water vapor), eventually the water falls back into the earth as rain, which is pure water, free from impurities, minerals, etc. That’s the way nature works and is the same way a water distiller works.

It is scientifically proven that Distilled water is safe and pure and yet, there are a few people, so called “experts” who claim the exact opposite… Some of the attacks against distilled water comes from people who sell reverse osmosis or atmospheric water generators. It is a scientific fact that both of these systems end up with a water quality that is very similar, almost identical, to distilled water. How Deceptive! One of the most deceptive practices is publishing on an article by Zoltan Rona, entitled “Early Death Comes from Drinking Distilled Water”, this article, somehow, found itself published in www.mercola.com. That may be misleading because www.mercola.com sells Reverse Osmosis Systems or Filters that remove almost all the minerals from waer. If you have read our article on Distilled Water You will know that Reverse Osmosis water produces very similar water quality as Distilled Water, including many of the “side effects” that this misleading article writes about (acidic water, lack of minerals, etc.).

If you take a sample of Reverse Osmosis Water and Distilled water to laboratories across the world, most laboratories will have a very difficult time distinguishing between reverse osmosis water and distilled water. Therefore, if “Early Death comes from Drinking Distilled Water” then the author of that article would also have to say “Early Death Comes from Drinking Reverse Osmosis Water”; But he can’t, because he sells Reverse Osmosis systems… Once Again Distilled water is safe, just like Reverse Osmosis is safe. In fact, for those of you who still would like to question scientific fact, you can easily and cheaply add minerals to distilled water and by doing so any doubts whatsoever are thrown out the window.

Why do some of the popular websites try to unsuccessfully discredit Distilled water? Distilled water is the system to beat. It produces the purest water very cheaply (about $0.15 per gallon!) and in a easy way with small equipment and portable everywhere in your house and even for camping. The cost of a decent water distiller is also inexpensive compared to other systems with a comparable water quality output (for example, check out the stats on this distiller: Water Distiller, Countertop, White Enamel, Glass Collection), so many salesmen prefer to sell other systems instead of water distillers just because the commissions are much higher for the other most expensive systems than they are even for the most expensive of Water distillers.

Distilled Water is also great tasting. The vast majority of people who drink distilled water for a full day cannot go back to drinking any other type of water… even bottled water tastes horrible after drinking pure and fresh distilled water. Distilled water further enhances the flavor of other liquids that are mixed with it. Cofee, Orange Juice, Lemonade, tea, etc. are all liquids that their flavor is greatly enhanced by using distilled water. If you’re a real coffee drinker, you haven’t tried great coffee if it was not prepared with distilled water.

The reason distilled water tastes great and enhances the flavor of other things that are mixed with it is that distilled water is almost 100% pure water. Some people, mainly those who sell water filters, claim that distilled water (as well as reverse osmosis) lacks minerals and therefore, in their view, it is unhealthy. There is no scientific fact to this claim; about 95% to 99% of all the minerals human beings consume come from food, not liquids.
