Some of the Benefits of Drinking Distilled Water

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

There are many benefits when it comes to the use and drinking of distilled water. Nonetheless, it is still a topic of hot debate. As with anything else, there are always two sides to the coin and distilled water usage is no different. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of distilled water as well as what folks on the other side of the subject have to say.

It is estimated that more than half of the people in America drink water from the tap. This is water that has undergone any of a number of treatments in order to become what the powers that be deem drinkable. When water is distilled it in essence removes any chemicals, harmful or otherwise that were previously present.

By virtue of the distillation process, any toxins that can be viewed as damaging to the body are removed. This is done by a boiling and subsequent evaporation process. The vapor that comes from the evaporating is what removes the chemicals and toxins. Of course this also causes any mineral deposits to disappear as well.

One major upside to drinking distilled water is that it is highly beneficial when a person is ill or to help reduce future illness. This purified water – if you will – will flush any harmful toxins out of the body, enabling the sick individual to get well quicker. It is also believed to be quite helpful when one is afflicted by certain sorts of cancer. The usage guidelines suggested in this case are probably best explained by a qualified medical professional.

Other benefits of distilled water come in its usefulness in industrial settings. Many companies use it in their machinery as it keeps their equipment running better since it is devoid of any calcium or mineral deposit buildup which could cause their machinery to malfunction. If you’ve ever consulted documentation regarding automobile or motorcycle batteries, you will notice that they strongly suggest using distilled water. This goes for household steam irons as well.

So yes, there are many benefits to using and drinking distilled water.

Some more benefits about Distilled Water

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Many folks are curious about distilled water and naturally want to know what benefits are associated with it. In this article we will touch upon exactly what some of them are. The first thing people need to know is that distilled water is in fact good old h2o in its absolute purest form. And drinking it can certainly do you some good.

You see, when water is in its natural state, it has an assortment of impurities as well as contaminants. While it is also true that it has various forms of calcium, iron and other minerals, nonetheless it still has its downsides. This is where the distillation process comes into play. It helps to rid the water of the above mentioned.

This is done by boiling the water at very high temperatures and subsequently converting it into vapor and/or steam. Once the vapor is collected and goes through a cooling process it is then considered purified or distilled.

It is certainly safe for drinking. However, distilled water serves many other beneficial purposes. This is especially true in industrial settings where calcium and mineral buildups can cause damage to equipment. Why do you think it is the only water recommended for things like steam irons and batteries, both for automobiles and motorcycles?

Now, as for health benefits attributed to distilled water. For one, since it is completely free of minerals and chemicals found in regular water it aids in flushing toxins from one’s body. Some people also add juices or essences to it to provide it with some flavor since it can be rather bland to certain folks.

Yes, distilled water does have many useful purposes.

So there you have it. Just some of the benefits of distilled water. It is important – as with anything else – to familiarize yourself with all aspects of it along with the pluses and minuses associated with it so you will be well informed as to how to best utilize this fantastic product.

Distilled Water in Humidifiers

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Anyone who has used a humidifier has probably noticed that they collect a lot of white dust particles after filling them up with tap water. These white dust particles are actually minerals from the tap water that get released after the humidifier is turned on. These particles are not harmful, but they often float onto the surfaces of your furniture and other objects in the room. This means people have to clean the entire room every time they turn on the humidifier. Fortunately, there is a solution that will prevent these white dust particles from coming back. The solution is simply to use distilled water in the humidifier instead of tap water.

Distilled water is the purest kind of water that you can buy. It contains no minerals, vitamins, toxins or bacteria in it at all. This means when you fill your humidifier up with distilled water, there won’t be any minerals getting extracted from the water to form those annoying dust particles. Not only that, but you won’t have to clean the humidifier like you would with regular tap water. You see those dust particles also clog up the filter inside your humidifier, which means you have to clean it after each time you use it. With distilled water, you won’t have to clean the filter as much because there won’t be any particles caught in it. The best part is that the life of the filter will last longer, which will save you money from having to buy a new one more frequently.

Besides the minerals, water that is contaminated with bacteria could pose a threat if you use it in your humidifier. You will basically be putting the bacteria from the water into the air, which is guaranteed to make you sick if you breathe it for long enough. It will also make anyone else sick who is in the same room and breathing the same air. With all of these factors weighing in, the best choice you could make is to buy distilled water for your humidifier. Supermarkets generally sell gallon jugs of distilled water that you can just pour into your humidifier. If you want to save even more money then you could make your own distilled water at home by boiling tap water on the stove and then trapping the condensation in a glass container. This method might take more work, but it will save you money. The cheapest and easiest thing to do is to get a Water Distiller instead and conveniently make distilled water at your house for a fraction of the cost and without being time consuming.

What is Distilled Water?

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Distilled water is regular tap water that has been purified through a process called “distillation.” This is a scientific process that involves separating the substances inside of water from the water itself. These substances could be toxics, dirt, waste, impurities and even minerals. The process can only be done by vaporizing the water and then collecting its condensation afterwards. You may think this is a new process, but people have known about this process for about 2000 years. Of course, the methods of creating distilled water have changed over the years. The most natural method actually comes from nature itself. Think about where rainwater comes from. Rain is formed when water evaporates into the air and then the air becomes precipitated under gravity to form droplets. These droplets are actually distilled water because the original water vapor does not contain any of the minerals or toxic elements that it originated from. So, if you are able to catch rain in a container then you will actually have distilled water. Of course, if you live in a polluted city then you have to take into account the toxic elements in the air that will hit the rain when it falls. For this, you can use an additional filtration process to take care of those elements. The end result will still be distilled water.

Distillation provides the most purified water out of any other purification method because it completely gets rid of all of the elements in the water. People like to drink purified water because it is a soft water that is easy to digest and does not weigh you down or make you feel bloated. Furthermore, it has helped numerous people lose weight and digest their foods better in their digestive system. Some people even like to use distilled water to wash themselves or their cars. When washing their cars, the softness of distilled water won’t create any water spots like with the regular tap water. As for human washing, people like to now shower with distilled water because they will reduce their chances of getting bacteria and impurities into the pores of their skin while they are washing. These things would usually cause acne, rashes or other skin irritations. Distilled shower water can be created with an automated distillation machine (a Water Distiller) that runs distilled water throughout all the pipes in your home. People are finally starting to rediscover the beauty of clean water, which will certainly help to promote better health and a longer life.
