Is Drinking Distilled Water OK Your Health? Yes, It’s very healthy for you!

Over the years there has been a raging debate on the difference between distilled water and normal water that has not undergone distillation for purification. With arguments from both sides supporting their own theories, it is important to consider some of the health effects which opponents of the debate on health benefits of purified water advance. They argue that drinking distilled water can absorb and clear excess calcium from the body and hence minimize the risk of developing kidney stones. There’s also the obvious argument that distilled water is pure water and therefore you are free from contaminants that can clearly damage your body.

 

Replenishing Lost Minerals

With the mineral-depleting effects of distilled water in mind, it is recommended that if you are going to consume it, look for alternative sources of minerals. By increasing the level of minerals that you should be getting from drinking water that contains minerals, you can be able to balance out the minerals in the body and hence avoid any negative health effects of mineral depletion characterized by a distilled water diet (fasting). It is important, however, to understand that minerals come mainly from foods, and those people really concerned about having minerals at levels higher than normal (such as athletes) can look to add minerals to their distilled water.

Water distillation is a process of making purified water by a simple process. This process wouldn’t need you to use any extra set of tools that you already haven’t. Although today’s steam irons are avoiding this type of water for some subtle issues like the need of extra heat to boil water that eventually causes spitting or leaking of the iron, some people also use this water in the aquariums in their houses.

If you want to drink distilled water for safety, you can find it in the supermarkets and pharmacies near your house or you can make this water all by yourself at a much cheaper price. All you need is a water distiller for improved quality. These distillers are available in the market as produced by different brands. It’s no longer a time consuming expensive job because of the automatic distillers. They have free shipment offers available around the globe.

Nowadays, just a few municipals around the world provide purified water as they have their big purifiers. Many vessels use special evaporators to collect sea water and boil the water up to 70-80 degrees. Then they collect the water as condensed before they store this water into the reservoirs. Distilled water diet is recommended by a health or diet specialists because it is known to be a helping factor for fitness or weight loss. It has zero calories, so it helps to burn calories when you are on a diet. Besides, there is evidence that the hard water, not purified by any means, contains some harmful minerals that our body can’t absorb. So, we better remove those harmful materials before we drink water. Another study reveals that distilled water increases the effectiveness of herbal teas up to 30% by accelerating the medicinal properties. Near Neutral pH

Distilled water, like other waters present, are naturally acidic. This occurs upon exposure to the environment because the carbon dioxide gases interact with the water molecules forming carbonic acid, which is very lightly acidic due to dilution. This makes the water             have a pH value in the range of 6 which is still good and acceptable by the body. Drinking distilled water will not affect any of your body’s processes because of its acidity that is being counter-blocked by the acidity of the stomach. Just think about your habit of drinking soda or lemonade, which is about pH 2.5 to 3.5 which is very acidic and bad, and also vinegar with pH 4. Why would you complain about distilled water being acidic? Humans today drink and eat far more acidic foods than that water.

Overall, drinking distilled water is very good for any person. Even babies are recommended to drink only distilled water because they are very prone to attacks of microorganisms. You need to have a proper water distiller to produce your own water. And if you are planning to go on a diet, try the distilled water diet because it works.
