Lactose Intolerance Butter

May 23, 2017 By DistilledWaterAssociation

(Click Image to be directed to Amazon)

Yes, there is such a thing as Lactose free Butter also known as dairy free butter. It is called Ghee Butter (available on Amazon), which is made from grass fed cows and lactose has been removed. If you’re like most lactose intolerant people, even a small amount of butter can give you the uncomfortable symptoms that are well known in lactose intolerance, like feeling bloated, gas, and even diarrhea. These are the same symptoms you would experience when drinking milk or other dairy products.

Some types of foods are heavy on butter, like cookies, brownies,  mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese. These are known as dairy rich foods. We’ve heard stories of people eating lots of these butter-rich type of foods and get the really bad kind of symptoms associated with severe lactose intolerance, like acid reflux and in some cases, vomit and breaking in hives.

So Lactose Intolerance Butter, or better known as Lactose free Butter (or non dairy butter; even if it does come from milk), can be the answer many of us lactose intolerant people have been waiting for. Finally, being able to eat foods with this kind of butter, even simple foods, like bread with lactose free butter spread, is a Godsend relief to our stomachs… and butts.

While the bigger portion of lactose-free butter can be expensive the smaller sized servings of the Ghee Lactose free Butter (available on Amazon) are a little bit more affordable although still a little bit more expensive than the regular butter. But how much is Comfort and Freedom worth it to you? Once you start enjoying foods without having to run to the toilet you’ll see that butter for the lactose intolerant is worth every penny.

But let’s be realistic, almost everything has butter, and you don’t eat at home every day. Can you imagine being out on a date and having to uncomfortably hold you gas? Can you risk eating something away from home that, unbeknown to you, had regular butter (which has a ton of lactose) and now you’re going to have to run to some stranger’s toilet to take care of business? Can you really sit on a public toilet a few times during the day and not feel like running home and shower?

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could eat any food made with any kind and amount of regular, lactose rich, butter, and not worry about the symptoms that come with lactose intolerance?

Well, there’s a cure for lactose intolerance which over time it allows you eat virtually anything that has milk, dairy, and other lactose products without any of those nasty symptoms. Finally, freedom! No more embarrassing moments where you have to stop what you’re doing and go to the toilet.

And last word of warning, always consult your doctor before trying anything.

Lactose Intolerance Cure: Yes! There’s a cure for lactose intolerance

March 11, 2017 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Yes, there’s a cure for lactose intolerance, and that’s bacteria found in probiotics and prebiotics. While there are a few different strains of the good bacteria found in probiotics and prebiotics, just of few of the probiotics and prebiotics are responsible to take care of the lactose found in many dairy products. For sake of completeness, we’ll show you three products that are popularly used as a lactose intolerance cure, although two of them are not a cure but rather hide the symptons in such a way that technically you will no longer be lactose intolerant.

Digestive Advantage (available on Amazon) – Results: Better; Speed: Relatively Fast

Click to learn more from Amazon

This probiotic contains the bacteria Bacillus Coagulans which if consumed over time will settle with enough numbers in your gut that it will produce the lactase necessary to digest the lactose. We tried this ourselves and it worked wonders. Notice if you read the ingredients that Digestive Advantage contains also Lactase Enzyme. Why you ask. Well, most people are going to be taking this and the very first day go and eat lactose containing foods. Without the lactase Enzyme, this product wouldn’t work from the get go. In fact, many experts recommend taking Digestive Advantage probiotics for at least 2 weeks before trying to eat lactose foods.

Over time, your capacity to eat more diary products will increases and there will be virtually no dairy food that will take you running to the toilet.

So what’s our complain about this? This type of probiotic doesn’t reproduce itself. What this means is that you will always have to buy and take these probiotics until the day you die. Chances are once you stop taking them your lactose intolerance will return so we can’t really call this a cure. Nevertheless, it is very effective to combat the symptoms of lactose intolerance so buy it, take it every day, and 2 weeks later you can start eating lactose foods without fear of repercussions.

BIG WARNING: When taking probiotics you WILL go to the toilet frequently for the first few days. In fact, that’s how you know the probiotics are working. It is a common effect of probiotics, they flush out all the bad stuff in your gut and get you ready for the good bacteria. So don’t be discouraged if you’re taking frequent trips to the bathroom for the first few days.

Lactaid (available on Amazon) – Results: OK ; Speed: Fast

Click to Learn more from Amazon

Not the best of solutions. Lactaid pills contain the lactase enzyme. Lactase enzyme is what the body naturally produces to help digest diary products which contain lactose. While the population percentage that are lactose intolerance varies with ethnicity (for example, European descent populations are less likely to be lactose intolerant than Asian descent populations), most adults eventually become lactose intolerant. Nobody is sure why but the theyory is that as the consumption of milk decreases as one ages the body has less of an incentive to produce the lactase enzyme.

So, your body doesn’t produce the lactase enzyme necessary for the processing of lactose, then just swallow some of that lactase enzyme and problem solved, you’ve found the cure for lactose intolerance, right?

Wrong. Lactaze enzyme needs to make it’s way all the way to the small intestine roughly at the same time as the lactose and there’s no way of guaranteeing that. To make matters worse, the exact quantity required to counteract the effects is largely unknown and will vary depending on the type of lactose containing foods you eat.

There’s a lot of trial and error. We tried some of these lactase caplets and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. We even tried to take a lot more of the suggested amount before, during, and after consuming dairy foods and sometimes it worked and other times we paid for it with diarrhea, gas, and acid reflux.

We are very suspicious of the high amount of 5-star reviews found on Amazon.com

So lactaze enzyme is far from being a Lactose Intolerance Cure. At the best it is a temporary relief for many of the diary products. But if you’re going to a business meeting or on a date, it’s better to play it safe and avoid foods that contain lactose unless of course you use the following probiotics and prebiotics.

Hyperbiotics Pro-15 (Available on Amazon) – Results: Best; Speed: Slow

Click to learn more from amazon

This is what we would call a cure for lactose intolerance. Yes, they’re also probiotics but the strain of probiotic, bifidobacterium longum, has been scientifically proven to produce its own lactase and unlike the Digestive Health probiotics, this brand also includes Prebiotics (depending on which kind you get, the nutrition facts will either have the word prebiotic or Actazin Kiwi).

Prebiotics increase the levels of the bifidobacterium longum in your gut. This means one thing: After several months of taking these probiotics and prebiotics, your body will naturally start producing the lactase on its own without having to keep on taking the probiotics. Usually this process takes 6 to 12 months. However, taking probiotics is good for you so beyond the purpose of using it as a cure for lactose intolerance you should consider taking probiotics for your overall health overall.

Again, the warning is that for the first few days the probiotics are going to make you take several trips to the toilet. Don’t despair, this is normal. But, you are going to have to ingest dairy foods little by little. Your body is going to have to get used to eating lactose on a regular basis so if you take all the probiotics in the world and go a year without having lactose products chances are you’re still going to be intollerant.

And last word of warning, always consult your doctor before trying anything.

Detox Distilled Water Diet

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Sometimes you just need a detox. You want to get rid of all the bad from your body and focus on a healthier lifestyle. The detox distilled water diet could be something worth considering. It is highly effective, and drinking this water is healthy for you on a long term basis. Here are some of the ways you will benefit from detoxing with distilled water.

All Impurities Removed

Distilled water already has the impurities removed. That means you’re just putting pure water through your system. It is easier for your blood stream to absorb, and better for your organs. You will flush out all the toxins in your body, without adding anything extra due to the water.

Plain tap or bottled water still has a number of minerals and chemicals. These leave a residue in your body, and you’re left with some bacteria and minerals in your system, even though you are trying to detox. It doesn’t really work out that well.

Distilled Water Grabs Toxins

Scientists have found that distilled water is more likely to grab the toxins that are in your body. That’s because all the toxins and chemicals have already been removed. It wants those that are currently affecting your health. That will help to flush them out of your system sooner and easier.

However, it is also important to cover the fact that it can remove the healthy minerals too. When detoxing with distilled water, you should also eat a healthy and balanced diet. This will help to add the good minerals in that the water is removing.

No Need for Flavorings

Distilled water tastes great, because all you have is the pure water. There are no chemicals and harmful materials clouding the liquid. That means there is no need for adding flavors to your water. You can focus on drinking pure water, which is much better for detoxing.

It is worth following the detox distilled water diet, even just for a short period of time. Distilled water will remove the toxins from your body much quicker as it is already void of the impurities.

Chlorine in Tap and Bottled Water, Not in Distilled Water

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Chlorine is commonly found in swimming pools. It is used to clean the water, and is known for stinging the eyes. However, did you know that it can also be found in regular drinking water? This is especially the case for bottled or tap water. It is possible to enjoy pure water through the distilling process.

Chlorine in Tap and Bottled Water

Chemicals and bacteria are found in water that is not fully purified. Chlorine is one of those chemicals that is actually used as part of the purification process. It is usually trace, and to the point where you can’t really taste it. However, that does not mean it is not dangerous or will not cause health problems. This is why you need to focus on pure, healthy water to drink.

No Chlorine in Distilled Water

Distilled water is the best purified water. The chemicals like chlorine are removed. This happens through the process of boiling the water and turning it into a vapor and with the resulting water passing through a carbon filter. The temperatures are high enough to boil the water, but not to vaporize the other elements. The impure elements, and others found in water, will remain in solid or liquid form at the bottom, while the water becomes a gas.

The water is then sent through a cooling chamber to become a liquid again. The chemicals that are not removed by the first step of distillation (i.e. evaporation) are removed via the charcoal filter.

Why Remove the Chlorine?

You may think that the process of distilling water is too time consuming. Is it really that important to remove the trace elements of chlorine and other chemicals and impurities? The truth is you have no idea how much of these are actually found in your tap or bottled water. You also have no idea what else is in there. Plus, if you buy a water distiller, the process is simple and automatic.

Removing the chlorine will mean you get water that will not harm your body as a whole. The water will also taste better.

It is time to make a switch to distilled water. It is pure water, so you get a better taste and will find it is better for your health.

When to Use an Emergency Water Distiller

October 9, 2014 By DistilledWaterAssociation

You may have heard of an emergency water distiller. The question is what one of these is. Really, it does everything that it says. It will purify your water through the distilling process and can be used in an emergency, without using electricity! So, when would you find an emergency water distiller useful?

While Out Camping

If you’re going camping, it could be worth taking a distiller with you. It won’t matter where you end up or the type of water source you have. You will be able to remove the impurities and enjoy fresh, pure water. These are great if you’re going on long camping trips, when you can’t take enough bottles of distilled water with you.

On Survival Expeditions

Another time to consider emergency water distillers is when you’re out on survival expeditions. You will usually need to drink from streams and even lakes. You have no idea what chemicals and harmful bacteria are in these. Having the distiller will mean you can quickly purify your water in a way that is very healthy for you.

When There Is No Electricity

Most distillers will require an electrical socket. This is great when you’re using it at home, until you get a power cut. There have been some areas hit with long power cuts lasting a few days. What would you do then? You would have to rely on the tap water. Is that something you really want?

An emergency distiller usually runs on heat, from a stove or fire. There is no need for an electrical supply, and you can still enjoy your pure water.

Can’t Clean Filters

A reverse osmosis system or filter system may be something you prefer to use. However, you will need to clean the filters with each use and it’s not easy to move around if you go on camping trips. This isn’t something that needs to happen with an emergency water distiller. There will also be fewer trace elements left behind, as they can get caught in filters.

Is an emergency water distiller worth your money? Think about getting pure water, no matter what your water source is like.
