The Advantages of Choosing Distilled Water Over Tap or Bottled Water

February 8, 2023 By DistilledWaterAssociation

When it comes to choosing the right type of water to drink, it can be overwhelming to navigate through the various options available in the market. Tap water, bottled water, and distilled water – each of them has its own unique set of benefits and drawbacks. In this article, we will focus on the advantages of choosing distilled water over tap or bottled water.

Distilled water is water that has been purified by boiling it and condensing the steam back into a liquid form. This process removes impurities, such as bacteria, minerals, and contaminants, making it the purest form of water. Tap water, on the other hand, can contain chemicals such as chlorine and lead, while bottled water can contain microplastics, which are harmful to our health.

One of the key advantages of distilled water is that it has a neutral pH level. This is important because the pH level of our body needs to be maintained within a narrow range for optimal health. Consuming water with a high pH level can disrupt the balance and lead to various health problems. In contrast, tap water can contain high levels of chlorine, which can increase the pH level, and bottled water can contain high levels of minerals, which can alter the pH level as well.

Another advantage of distilled water is that it is free from contaminants and impurities. Contaminants such as bacteria, lead, and other minerals can cause harm to our bodies, especially if consumed regularly. Distilled water is free from these impurities and therefore is considered a safe option for drinking and cooking.

In addition to being safe and healthy, distilled water is also a cost-effective alternative to bottled water. While bottled water may seem like a convenient option, it can add up quickly and be expensive in the long run. Distilled water, on the other hand, can be produced at home using a water distillation machine, or purchased in large quantities at a lower cost.

In conclusion, distilled water has a number of advantages over tap or bottled water. It is safe, healthy, and cost-effective. When choosing the right type of water for your daily consumption, consider the benefits of distilled water and make an informed decision.
