SOME MYTHS ABOUT DISTILLED WATER

September 10, 2013 By DistilledWaterAssociation

Depending on what you read, distilled water has a different benefit or disadvantage for your body. Some sources claim that you need the minerals that are removed from the water, others say you will benefit from dodging the toxins within the water – it really does change from ‘expert’ to ‘expert.

To put it bluntly – in the short-term it offers a pretty serious benefit to your health, especially if you are already ill. It helps remove poisons and toxins from the body, and the health benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Because distilled water is actually boiled, it removes just about everything from the water – good and bad. However, distilled water helps remove poisonous and damaging wastes and toxins from the system, flushing your body in a more coherent and optimum running order.

However, along with removing all the poisons and toxins from your body, it also does not have the positive natural minerals that is in normal tap or bottled water. Of course, this is not a good thing as we need these minerals to survive and run at our peak. Your body requires nutrients and vitamins because they not only help generate electrolytes, they also help you keep your health at an optimum level.

However, studies and experts have shown that the amount of minerals and nutrients in non-distilled water is minimal at best, as we get the majority of our nutrients etc. from our food (over between 95% and 99%).

While you may not receive the health benefits of adding these minerals into your system, you aren’t missing out on huge amounts – by eating normally you could easily get back the small amount of minerals that you’re not getting from the water. You also have the benefits of removing the chemicals that would be getting into your body by drinking normal, non-distilled water.

Plus, if you still want minerals in your water, you can easily add them to your distilled water. The end result is pure water free from contaminants and with all the minerals you need. You get the best of both worlds.

There are people on both ends of the face, and while the positives outweigh the negatives with distilled water, it’s important to know exactly what you are putting in and taking out of your body. Make sure you fully understand the benefits of drinking distilled water before making the change.  But remember, since minerals can be added easily and cheaply to your water, distilled water becomes the perfect choice.
